The Wonder Years

The Curve, Volume 1, 2011 – For Gen Y, age 18 no longer marks the beginning of life as an adult. Instead, it marks the beginning of a completely new life stage, the “Wonder Years,” a time defined by the growing gap between 18 and adulthood, wherein the path to independence is more gradual and less linear than it was for previous generations. The result is the emergence of an entirely new life stage—with different expectations and needs from consumers, and new opportunities and challenges for brands.
